Willowbridge Community Services (formerly known as Family Counselling Center of Brant – FCCB) is a not-for-profit organization offering developmental services, counselling, and financial empowerment across Hamilton, Brantford, Niagara, and Haldimand Norfolk. The Casual Community Inclusion Worker is responsible to assist adults and children with a developmental disability to participate in meaningful social inclusion activities in community, ensuring the provision of trauma and attachment informed services that is welcoming and safe, where our clients and their families can find solutions to help reach their potential and support their goals of participating more fully in their community through work, play and friendship.

In this position you are required to provide program participants with a variety of social, recreational and life skills based on the individual’s interests and goals using a person-centered approach. Working under the guidance of the program manager and will assist individuals to live a good life, develop friendships, feel connected to community, and develop socially valued role, support individuals to independently set goals, develop skills and participate in leisure and social activities. You will also support individuals’ access public transportation, or when necessary, transport clients in your own vehicle.

Required Competencies:

      • – College diploma in a social services field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • – CPR/First Aid Certificate.
      • – Safety Care Certification.
      • – Availability to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends.
      • – Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
