Service Coordinator 1 FTE – Contract

Willowbridge Community Services (formerly known as Family Counselling Center of Brant – FCCB) is a not-for-profit organization offering developmental services, counselling, and financial empowerment across Hamilton, Brantford, Niagara, and Haldimand Norfolk. Encompass Service Coordination Program within Willowbridge offer individuals living with an intellectual disability the support they need to access safe housing, medical, financial, or mental health services and to develop socially valued roles within their community. We are looking for a high-performing Service Coordinator with a commitment to service excellence to join the Encompass Team.

The Service Coordinator is responsible to work with individuals, caregivers, families, and a network of support agencies to ensure that children under 18 and adult’s living with developmental disabilities or a dual diagnosis receive adequate care, support, and access to fundamental services, ensuring the provision of trauma and attachment informed treatment that is welcoming and safe, where our clients and their families can find solutions to help reach their potential and support their goals of participating more fully in their community through work, play and friendship.

Required Competencies:

  • – Bachelor’s Degree in a social service or related discipline or a two year Diploma in Social Services with 2 years’ work experience working with individuals with a developmental disability.
  • – At least three years’ experience working with individuals with a developmental disability and with individuals who have a dual diagnosis
  • – Proven knowledge and experience collaborating with community services.
  • – Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • – Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • – Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations and when presented with multiple demands.
  • – Proven ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • – Ability to communicate with clients, staff, volunteers and the general public in a respectful, cooperative and professional manner.
  • – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
