Victim Quick Response Program

About

Willowbridge is a provider of the Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP+). The VQRP is provincial program funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services to provide timely assistance to victims of the most violent crimes. We offer free, short-term counselling support for victims, their family members, and the witnesses dealing with the aftermath of a violent crime.

  • Serious Assault
  • Voyeurism
  • Child Abuse Criminal Harassment
  • Elder Abuse
  • Hate Crimes
  • Historical Child Abuse
  • Homicide (including attempted murder) Human Trafficking

The Victim Quick Response Program is available for victims, their family members, and the witnesses to a violent crime. The crime witnessed or experienced must be classified a Criminal Code offence to be eligible for this program.

VQRP+ free counselling is available at Willowbridge virtually (online or telephone) and in-person for those who live in Brantford, Haldimand-Norfolk, or Oxford Ontario. See our service map for specific locations. If you reside in another location, please contact your local Victim Service Agency for eligibility and counselling locations.

To access free VQRP counselling at Willowbridge, individuals must first be registered with the VQRP program. Please contact Victim Services of Brant at 519-752-3140 to inquire about eligibility. Application deadlines apply, please phone to inquire.
