Leadership Development Course
Willowbridge Community Services is pleased to offer a Leadership Development Course to adults living with an intellectual disability who are passionate about making a difference. This course is made possible by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, which supports our agency in the belief that everyone should have the opportunity to be heard and shape our community. Their generous grant has allowed our program to be offered free of charge, and recognizes that everyone benefits when diverse experiences and perspectives are shared.
Our course supports student leaders as they build leadership and advocacy skills while working towards a certificate.
Their coursework prepares them for supported community placements in groups such as neighbourhood associations, boards, and community-planning groups based on their interests. Placement opportunities are selected to ensure that student leaders can create meaningful change both now and in the future.
We are currently planning our next year of the Leadership Development Course, and will announce the dates and details here – stay tuned!
