As an Intake Worker, you are the front door to the organization, setting the tone for how people experience Willowbridge at a critical moment when they are seeking support.

 

You will use clinical judgment, systems navigation, and strong coordination skills to ensure people are connected to the right service at the right time. This role works across programs and teams, balancing responsiveness with thoughtful assessment in a fast-paced environment.

About the role:

  • – Determine appropriate program fit based on referral and intake information
  • – Complete intakes across multiple programs, including Ontario Works, Violence Against Women, and Developmental Services
  • – Conduct intake assessments using clinical judgment to evaluate needs, risk, and service alignment
  • – Utilize screening and assessment tools as part of the intake process
  • – Complete income assessments to determine eligibility for subsidized counselling services
  • – Provide clients with clear information regarding wait times and next steps
  • – Coordinate initial appointments with therapists and manage intake-related scheduling
  • – Maintain and monitor multiple waitlists
  • – Set up and maintain accurate client records using Caseworks
  • – Ensure compliance with mandatory reporting requirements
  • – Complete partner contacts as required for specific program areas
  • – Maintain organized and up-to-date client files
  • – Provide administrative support as needed

 

What we’re looking for:

  • – Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field
  • – Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health concerns, and/or dual diagnosis
  • – At least 1 year of experience in intake, assessment, or a client-facing service role
  • – Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • – Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • – High level of computer literacy (including Microsoft Office and case management systems)
  • – Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
  • – Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • – Ability to remain composed in high-demand or complex situations
  • – Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • – Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • – Experience collaborating with community services is an asset.
