Panic and Anxiety

Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health concern in Canada, with over 12% of the population struggling to manage it every year. Anxiety can weigh on you every moment of the day, and make it difficult to lead a good life.

The good news is, counselling works.

Often, those with anxiety spend a good deal of their time waiting for something terrible to happen or imagining the worst. The intense feeling of fear, worry, or even panic can make it challenging to go to work or maintain relationships, and can prevent you from enjoying things that you used to love. Sleeplessness, phobias, lack of appetite, health problems, and feeling overwhelmed or out of control are all common symptoms of anxiety.

At Willowbridge Community Services, you’ll learn to manage anxiety symptoms on a day-to-day basis, and you’ll find the underlying causes of your anxiety – and heal them. Our team uses trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help you recognize negative thought patterns and change the way you feel.
